Lithium battery recycling for your business
Our service uses 30-litre UN-approved drums with vermiculite. Before filling a drum, speak to us to confirm the battery types we can accept and the appropriate packaging, weight and filling limits.
When your drums are ready, contact us to arrange a collection. We collect the batteries and transfer them to our recycling partner for specialist treatment.
If you expect to produce waste batteries regularly, let us know when you enquire. We can discuss your likely quantities and collection needs.
How much does lithium battery recycling cost?
Recycling costs £200 + VAT per 30-litre UN barrel for lithium batteries similar in size to mobile phone batteries. Barrels and vermiculite are supplied. A single collection fee of £40–£70 + VAT applies per local visit, regardless of the number of barrels collected. Collections further afield and other battery types are quoted separately.
The collection charge applies once per visit, regardless of how many drums we collect.
- One drum: £200 disposal + £40 collection = £240 + VAT.
- Two drums: £400 disposal + £40 collection = £440 + VAT.
- Three drums: £600 disposal + £40 collection = £640 + VAT.

Preparing your collection enquiry
To help us assess your requirements, please provide:
- Your business name and collection postcode.
- The battery type or equipment the batteries came from.
- The approximate quantity and number of drums.
- Photographs of the batteries and any identification labels, where available.
Please tell us before booking if any batteries are damaged, swollen, leaking or recalled. These require individual assessment and may need different packaging or collection arrangements.
Larger battery packs and EV enquiries
For industrial battery packs or electric vehicle batteries, contact us to discuss suitability. Acceptance and pricing depend on the battery specification, condition and the transport and treatment arrangements required.
